Cultural Policies for the Promotion of European Democratic Memory (October 4th to 6th, 2023)
O Ministerio da Presidencia, Relacións coas Cortes e Memoria Democrática, en colaboración co Ministerio de Cultura e Deporte, organiza esta Conferencia Internacional que levará a cabo no Museo Lázaro *Galdiano en Madrid do 4 ao 6 de outubro de 2023.
A conferencia centrarase na importancia da memoria democrática en Europa desde o final dos conflitos bélicos que arrasaron o continente durante o século *XX, destacando o seu papel fundamental para evitar o esquecemento e previr a repetición de eventos tráxicos.
Este evento, que se celebra no marco da Presidencia española do Consello da Unión Europea, ten como obxectivo esencial destacar as iniciativas europeas relacionadas coa xestión do patrimonio cultural desde a perspectiva da memoria, os dereitos humanos e o compromiso coa "non repetición" como un imperativo ético nunha sociedade europea democrática.
The Spanish Ministry of the Presidency, Relations with the Cortes, and Democratic Memory, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, is organizing this International Conference, which will take place at the Museo Lázaro Galdiano in Madrid from October 4th to 6th, 2023.
The conference will focus on the importance of democratic memory in Europe since the end of the conflicts that ravaged the continent during the 20th century, highlighting its fundamental role in preventing forgetfulness and the recurrence of tragic events.
This event, held within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, aims to emphasize European initiatives related to the management of cultural heritage from the perspective of memory, human rights, and the commitment to "non-repetition" as an ethical imperative in European democratic society.
